The splash pad at Fireman’s Park will offer young families a place to cool down without incurring any added cost making it a great option for kids and families to be active. Residents of Walnut can access the park weekly throughout the summer and the Splash Pad is also an added option for birthday parties or weekend get together with friends!
Splash pads are a safe alternative to pools or beaches as they offer a zero depth water base for kids to play on, reducing the risk of drowning. Splash pads typically offer a soft padded or rubberized based which also helps reduce injury due to falls or scraps.
The splash pad in Walnut offers children a number of interactive water features. They can be activated manually – which helps reduce water consumption – and will turn off automatically. Ground geysers, misters and sprayers line the park through out and will ensure your kids have enough to keep them busy and contribute to a full night’s sleep 
In addition to the splash pad, Fireman’s Park offers a number of other amenities for families. There is a large amount of green space, great for picnics and parties and a pavilion is also available. If your kids have had their fill of the splash pad, the Alec Mertz Playground is close by and for older kids, the ball fields and Veterans’ Memorial Park is close by.
