Pinafore Park is located in the southwest end of St. Thomas, Ontario. It’s a huge park that offers a number of amenities, including a huge splash pad and playground area. If you’ve never visited Pinafore Park, you could easily spend a day here with your friends or family.
Pinafore Park Splash Pad
City planners had capacity and size in mind when constructing this massive splash pad. Pinafore Park’s splash pad is one of the largest between St. Thomas and the London Ontario area and can easily handle hundreds of kids. The adjacent playground keeps kids busy ensuring there are too many populating the splash pad area at the same time.
Just like other city run splash pads, safety was given top consideration with soft padded grounds, kid controlled sprayers and no standing water! There is a ton of park area surrounding the splash pad making it easily accessibly from a picnic or grassy area. Parking is also steps from the splash pad making it extra convenient.
Pinafore Park Amenities
In addition to the splash pad, Pinafore Park offers up a number of other amenities givings families an excuse to make a full day at the park. 5 Pavilions are available and can be rented through the city. Great for birthday parties, family reunions and more. Each pavilion offers access to water and hydro and privacy from the rest of the park.
A wildlife sanctuary is also part of the park, with a number of different animals the kids can visit. There is a ton of space for parking and the park is open year round.
Picnic tables line the park making it great for family reunions, birthday parties or a day out with friends. Bring your portable BBQ and plan for a late day lunch.
Pinafore Park Directions
From Talbot Street, drive south on Elgin Street. Turn left on Elm Street and look for the Park sign on the right.
From Sunset Road (Highway 4), drive south and turn left at the lights onto Elm Street. Continue through the intersection of Wilson and Elm and the park entrance is on your right.
