The J.R. Newman Park serves the community of Frisco, TX and features a state of the art spray park. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., the J.R. Newman Park sprayground offers fun for the whole family from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Splash pads offer relief from the summer heat without the dangers of standing water such as swimming pools. The whole family, even very young children, can enjoy the various spraying nozzles and fun showers of water.
The freshwater system of the spray park are filtered and monitored by North Texas Municipal Water District. Certain safety precautions are asked to be observed when enjoying the spray park including, no biking, skating, skateboarding or animals permitted in the area. Appropriate swimwear and clothing required including swim diapers for children who are not toilet trained; only rubber soled footwear is permitted, swim shoes are recommended. Visitors are asked not to climb on spray park equipment and running is also not permitted. Restrictions are in place to ensure all visitors have a safe and fun experience at the J.R.
