Splash Pad member review!

Being new to San Diego with a young family and living on the east side of the city, I found myself looking for activities to keep the kids busy. After a searching different websites for area activities I found the Hilton Head County Park at 16005 Hilton Head Road. I’m in La Presa so this was a quick easy drive for me but I would say for anyone within a 30 minutes that it’s worth the drive as your kids will love this place.
I took my kids during the week and found that it wasn’t too busy. It was early morning, so I’m sure it gets busier in the afternoons. The first thing I noticed was how huge this park is! For anyone looking to plan a full day here, a birthday party or family gathering, this is the place to do it. Plenty of sports options if your kids don’t like the splash pad and there are BBQ’s and other activities that give this playground everything you’ll need to plan an event!
My kids loved the splash pad though. We spent two hours at the Hilton Head Park and the majority of it was spent on the splash pad. With spray cannons and fountains that spray from the ground my kids couldn’t get enough! They also loved having access to the playground equipment which they also spend some time at.
The only regret I have was not packing a lunch otherwise we could have spent another hour or two. We’re planning another visit to the park next week so maybe we’ll make a day of it then. I would recommend the Hilton Head Spray Park to anyone. It’s free, it’s a great way to get your kids out of the house and they’ll love it.
