The Hawn Park Sprayground is an excellent solution for children who need a fun way to cool down during the hot summer months. It is located at 1202 South Dewey in Hawn Park Texas. This spray park opens in mid-April for the season. The hours are Monday through Sunday from 10am to 8pm. This park is free to use making it perfect for families on a budget.
Hawn Park Sprayground covers 2,464 square feet of play area with 3,977 square feet of concrete surrounding it. It was designed by Kraftsman Commercial Playground and Water Parks. It is in the same location as a former pool that was showing its age and becoming costly to the city. This water park runs on the public water system and takes very little to maintain it.
The play area includes spraying arches, water cannons, and dumping buckets. There is a red post at the front of the water park area. Touch the top of it to activate the water sequence. It will run for 15 minutes before needing to be restarted.
Hawn Park Sprayground cannot be reserved for private parties. A covered pavilion nearby can be reserved by contacting the Parks and Recreation Office.
