The hot and humid weather is a great excuse to visit the Five Oaks Spray Park. Spray fountains are disguised as pencils, making it fun for the kids and the water is treated to ensure safety. Local health agencies ensure that the water is sanitary.
Learning about daily life, as well as play, is encouraged at this venue. The ability to swim is not a requirement since the cooling waters are enjoyed via sprays, or dumping, in a zero depth area. The structures at Five Oaks Spray Park send water in all directions, which kids see as an exciting attraction. This is not a pool environment, so the water can be enjoyed without the dangers common to being in a swimming pool.
As with using a pool, children should be reminded to periodically use the restroom area. This will serve to avoid having them relieve themselves on the spot due to being too busy having fun. There is a disinfection process that is carried out, taking 20 minutes, to maintain sanitary conditions.
Five Oaks Spray Park is open daily May 30th through Labor day. The park opens at 10:00 am daily and closes at dusk.
