With the hot summer months coming, parents will soon be looking for inexpensive, fun ways to keep kids cool, safe, and happy. Luckily, there is a great location that fills all these needs and more; it’s the Faulkner Park Sprayground in Tyler, TX. Opened in August, 2007 by the City of Tyler Parks and Recreation Department, Faulkner Park Sprayground is a wonderful, fun-filled place to bring the whole family.
Located at 410 West Cumberland Road in Tyler, TX, the sprayground is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Sunday. From the beginning of May until the cold weather, families can enjoy splash-time fun that is always free of charge.
Faulkner Park Sprayground is a safe, fun environment for children of all ages. Built on treated concrete to help prevent slipping, the sprayground contains many different “splash features” that will keep kids entertained and having fun. Motion-sensor sprinklers and ground geysers, rotating water guns, tumble buckets, and pipes with shooting water are just a few of the sprayground’s inventive ways to give kids a unique, safe, water-filled experience.
In addition to the sprayground, Faulkner Park offers many more family oriented amenities. For nature lovers there are walking trails, ponds, and birding opportunities. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy the many baseball and soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts, and sand volleyball courts. There are plenty of picnic tables, and pavilions can be rented for parties and corporate gatherings.
