Bentley Park Splash pad is the first of its kind for the city of Bixby, boasting 4,500 square feet of cooling, refreshing water fun. It was intelligently designed to promote interaction between all age groups by providing distinct activity bays to stimulate and challenge children of all ages. From toddler to teen and an all encompassing family bay, the splash park attempts to entertain us all.
Adjacent to the Arkansas River, the spray-park is the centerpiece of 100-acre Bentley Park Sports Complex, which includes a playground, soccer fields, baseball fields, sand volleyball and horseshoe pits.
Entering through an inviting, colorful gateway arch, the park encourages our imagination with colorful water-features and a unique play surface boasting colorful and fun graphics of the sun, moon, stars and artistic and playful swirls. In addition to being fun and entertaining, developers kept an eye on staying environmentally friendly and conservative. Strategies include reduced-consumption nozzles and spray heads; a touch activator, which allows the water-features to operate only when a child touches the activator during business hours , programmed spray sequences that randomly operate water-features to generate interest and interactivity within the bays. 100 percent recyclable stainless steel components and plastics are recyclable; and lead-free brass spray heads and nozzles add to the environmentally friendly nature.
